Yes, Los Angeles International Airport is shit. I hate it with more than a passion. More than i hate offal, more than i hate Jonny Wilkinson. I have been here more than 8 hours and there is very little to do here. I mean i have eaten at almost every concession stand in the place. The hall is only 20m long, and it sucks balls. It is small and cramped and eww old. Not just old, eww old. That is like the worst type of old around. Anyhow, i managed to steal loads of wi-fi so things aren’t bad. It is smokey due to the bush fires around here, so staying inside was the order of the day. i just wish they did loads more to update and make this place nice. Hopefully it will come sooner rather than later. sigh.

Thursday, May 3rd, 2007Yes, i finally made it here, took me 2 hours on the bus, from Philly. It cost me $12, bargin! I then got lost walking the streets, and i asked 3 different people where to go, each pointing me in a different direction. Or i couldn’t understand them! So i finally found the subway and then got lost again, cause i couldn’t find where i was on the map. I forgot to turn it over! D’oh. Now i finally got to the hostel, it is really nice and comfy, might be catching up with a friend tonight down near times square. Went and chilled in Central Park this arvo, read a book and had a nap. Was very nice to hear the sound of birds, sunny sky with a few clouds….and sirens. So fun. I can’t believe that i am here and doing all this stuff! Will write again later!

Saturday, April 28th, 2007Tommorrow i leave for Philly, it is going to be fun! I’m nervous and exicted at what is ahead. I haven’t travelled alone to much but am waiting to see how it goes. Oh the nerves are really starting to happen. This is finally happening! Ahhh, i hope to make it!!

Saturday, April 7th, 2007Its 14 Celsius outside and im in shorts and tee’s!! Am i going nuts? My feet are sweating and they are in nothing… damn cold makes your body do strange things. It is a lovely day, i can see the dogtooth ranges over the top of the trailer in front, still capped with snow. Beeeautiful!
Not long left in the season, 2 days. Then we start partying! I think there is something like 3 days of partying planned at this stage. The last 2 days should be cruisey. I’m going to tell people to lift and load there own skis and boards. It isn’t that hard. Someone estimated that lifties have lifted around 581,200 sets of skis. Yes i have started a fund for my puppies. They are sick!!! LOL (It may take some people a while to get that one)
I leave golden on the 21st, Jess is leaving a bit earlier. We are both going to our Uncles Ranch. Going to be lots of fun!! Get to meet our cousins as well, haven’t seen them in ages. All is a happening!

Sunday, April 1st, 2007It has been so hot over here recently. With temps as high as 16C! I am almost melting. I managed to sit in the sun and sun bake all day at work. It was one of the best days i have had, I worked Catamount chair. Amanda was working, so it was just her and i Switching it up. The other 2 people were happy chilln’ in the places they were in. I got a few rides in with Sonja and her mates, Josh, Sigmund and a few others.
I have my first day off ever tomorrow, so happy. Going riding with Sonja, Amanda, Martin and all of Sonja’s friends. Going to rock, so much. Got to take the camera. That is where memories will be made.

Thursday, March 22nd, 2007Today was one of the best that i’ve had on the mountain. I went down Whitewall, it is a double black run. Was easier than some of the other blacks i have been down, then went out of bounds and hit a boota (jump) for a few hours, in deep powder. It was sick fun. Then at the end of the day got taken down a nice chute on Fuse bowl. First time for that as well. So it was a day of firsts. Went really well. I was super stoked with it.

Tuesday, March 13th, 2007We had a graffiti party at work the other night. It went off, one of the best nights that I had here. Lots of free food, strippers (not hot), friends, and most importantly a camera. Just to capture the time, got some good ones, and quite a few bad ones. I had a blast, got some cool things on my shirt, some that made me think of self imposed rules I place on myself. One being not going out with girls that have the same name as my sisters, and also one that has been broken, not go out with people outside my sisters age bracket (5 years younger and 4 years older). I’m going to scrap that rule. It is silly anyhow. The name rule is going to stay cause well it is just freaky going out with someone that has the same name as your sister… not good thoughts.
It is surprising how many people I know on the hill, the cross pollination of my jobs means that I see both sides of the mountain, Operations and Administration. I could almost name all the faces I saw in the bar on that night. It was awesome fun, I was pissed of my nut, but still logical (Edit: I couldn’t remember if i saw people or not, and what i did for part of the night. People had to tell me they were there) and standing up straight. I did miss a few people that didn’t show up, like one of my bosses, Adam and Jess.
